Comprehensive Vision Evaluation

Our functional vision testing evaluates:

  • Binocular Vision & Eye Teaming – Ensuring both eyes align and aim at the same location
  • Oculomotor Function (Eye Tracking & Scanning) – Measuring how accurately and efficiently your eyes move
  • Focusing Ability (Accommodation) – Assessing near-to-far visual clarity
  • Vestibular-Ocular Coordination – Evaluating the connection between vision, balance, and head movement
  • Visual-Spatial Integration – How your visual system interacts with your body’s sense of position in space
  • Refraction & Eye Health Evaluation – Dr. Doerr uses a neurologically informed prescribing method; When appropriate, she prescribes therapeutic prism lenses. Prisms are specialized lenses that shift the way light enters the eyes, helping to realign visual input, so both eyes work together more comfortably and efficiently. They are commonly used to reduce double vision, improve binocular vision dysfunction, and relieve symptoms such as eye strain, dizziness, and headaches.” in Comprehensive Vision Evaluation.

Unlike a routine eye exam, patients may be asked to:

  • Walk around the office
  • Interact with their environment
  • Perform functional movement tasks

This ensures your prescription works in real-life settings — not just in the exam chair. Dr. Doerr works with patients with double vision who may require prism. This double vision evaluation requires a referral by the patient’s primary eye-care provider.
New Patients: Please bring your current glasses and/or contact lenses to your first visit. First-time contact lens fittings require a follow-up appointment.
